Georgi's Typical Design Process
Step One: each project typically begins with an initial phone call to briefly discuss client needs and project expectations--an in-person consultation is then usually scheduled.
Step Two: perhaps the most important step is this initial in-person meeting, where Georgi will introduce her process and review the room and basic project specs, while asking questions to learn more about client aesthetic and expectations.
Step Three: based on this introductory meeting, Georgi will put together a proposal including investment, process and scope of work to be emailed to client.
Step Four: based on ongoing conversations, Georgi will put together a rough design layout, including the project aesthetic, color scheme, and appliance suggestions. She will meet with the client to walk through her ideas, gathering input and making edits to create a beautiful plan. Once this is agreed on, Georgi will also meet with the contractor (if needed, she can suggest quality craftsmen) to walk them through the project.
Step Five: for many, this is the fun part. Georgi will join the client shopping for materials and purchasing just the right items to fit the clients needs and design desires.
Step Six: at this point, construction is ongoing as all materials are available, on site, and ready for placement. Georgi continues to communicate closely with the client, as well as the contractors, to create the desired space.
NOTE: Georgi does not act as the General Contractor; she is the designer. That said, she is particularly skilled and experienced at working in partnership with the contractors. She will also work closely with the client to help choose the best GC for the project, which is typically up to the client to hire.
